Meets MIL-STD 810F for durability, supports AES-256 encryption for secure and private communications, and is interoperable with other PTT and Land Mobile Radio systems. Features a reinforced PTT button, high audio loudspeaker and diamond tread for maximum grip. 

Capabilities include voice, text, data, SOS, GPS, and location-based services, which can be used on foot, in a vehicle, or indoors with appropriate accessories. Iridium PTT Command Center interface enables real-time configuration of users, talk groups, and coverage areas by administrators or operations centers.
